Wear purple for yourself, your friends, your aunt or uncle, your neighbor, your teacher or someone who you pass on the street. You may not know it but they could be suffering from harassment and bullying due to their real (or even perceived) sexual orientation. No one deserves to be bullied for who they are. So wear purple to show your support for the LGBTQIA community. You don’t even have to go all out - you could just wear purple socks or earrings! Just a little something goes a long way.
Or, at the very least, don’t judge or sneer at those who do choose to wear purple. You can be a better person than that and it almost makes you as bad as the bullies who outright bully a LGBTQIA person. So, just swallow your hatred and prejudices for one day and let people show their support.
