If you are CIS and would date a transperson reblog this I need to know that there is just one person out there that would do this.
I found three awesome LGBT+ book blogs the other day and I wanted to share them!
fuckyeahlesbianliterature.tumblr.com is a blog specifically for books about women who love women. It seems to have a fair amount of book titles.
queerbookclub.tumblr.com is described as…
What Would You Do?: A transgender woman is insulted by a man at a diner. This is a really great segment they did where a trans woman, played by a real trans woman, is insulted and ridiculed by a man (played by an actor, of course) while she serves him at a diner. You’d be surprised at how many people butted in to defend her.
So much faith in humanity restored.
Fucking great how they supported her.
I may need to watch this show more often.
well, this is beautiful
That last guy though. He was going to sit there for as long as it took to make sure Kevin didn’t attack Carmen. He even said he had a good catholic upbringing. Catholics aren’t really known for their acceptance, and for him to not only defend her, but protect her, is just…wow.
A fun Facebook group, playing on the theme of “T is not for Token”, about bi visibility in LGBT and wider community spaces
What would Jesus do? Not this.

Here it is! I’m not 100% sure if I like how it came out… it almost seems a bit too cutesy for the subject. Maybe I just like drawing cute clothes and bright colours too much!
This is for a contest with the Canadian Human Rights Agencies for their conference in May. All the Advanced Illustration students and Design students had to enter as part of their final. Kinda pissed that they required us to print it off at 24 x 36…. which I think is way too big and expensive ($50!!) for most students and their budget. We don’t even get to keep the posters. And the top prize is only $200. I feel kinda ripped off. :/
EDIT: A couple of people have sent me notes saying that “Transgendered” is incorrect terminology. I apologize, I kind of added the text last minute, and should have known better. I’ve uploaded a fixed version. :)
this is beautiful
Ashley Del Valle is a transgender woman from New York who was arrested in Georgia for indecent exposure after she allegedly showed her breasts, but then was housed in an all-male jail.I just.
You arrest her because her top is too sheer and shows her nipples, something that is only a crime for women.
And then you jail her as a man.
Fucking fuck.
(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻.
Brought to you by the United Nations. Very impressive.
The United States moves inexorably toward granting equality to the L.G.B., but in the process, while still pronouncing that satisfying final consonant, we often, in practice, drop the T. No federal law offers protection to transgender people from discrimination in the workplace; the population sees double the usual rate of unemployment, and ninety per cent of transgender individuals report harassment, mistreatment, or discrimination at work.
